Hi Everyone,

I’ve been sharing my free downloads from my book Read a Rainbow, Write a Rainbow for about 5 months now. I’m so honoured to have been chosen for a segment on Global News, in Toronto, Ontario, called Making a Difference, hosted by Susan Hay. The interview will be aired Tues. June 1st. at 5:30pm. For those of you not in the area I will post a link in our next blog so you can view the short segment.

Susan asked me if I thought I was making a difference. Some of you have responded to the short questionnaire that I sent out. I was delighted to hear that teachers and parents have found these blogs and activities helpful. The more information that you can give me about what you find useful the better I can help you. An easy way to communicate is to like my Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/readinggames

or simply send me an email on our contact page.

You can ask questions, post comments, and send me pictures.

If you haven’t yet responded to my questionnaire please do so here: https://us17.list-manage.com/survey?u=b9d53ffcacf9cc6edf41028ea&id=2cff0fcfe4&e=*|UNIQID|*

Today’s chapter continues with how to make short sentences.

If your children are ready for more advanced activities ask them to use the words on your word wall to make their sentences. Or use this sample page here: 6-stinky baby story starter copy

Writing Fun with Story Starters is my new digital download in my store here: https://www.educationalgamesofexcellence.com/store/

This 22 page digital download has 18 pages of story starters and full instructions on how to use it in your classroom or home. Remember that reading and writing have to be fun! 20 minutes per day will achieve a lot. Try to get your children to write something every day. Try to add new words every day or once a week. Keep adding to your word wall. And encourage your child to read their own sentences and stories to members of the family! By doing this you will be making a big difference in your child’s life!

I will continue to share the chapters from my book and other activities every week.

Have a happy day!

Erika
