Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends in the USA! If you are new to my blog, or already a subscriber, I would like to welcome you with a special pre Christmas offer on Amazon! I have reduced all my books to make shopping for reading materials a bit easier. Please visit my author page at https://www.amazon.com/Erika-Dick/e/B08644CDHK
My new soft cover edition of Teach Phonics & Reading with Games & Activities is now available for only $9.99. Please note this is the same book as Read a Rainbow, Write a Rainbow but with a new title. The activity pages are at the end of each chapter in this edition. I think this will make it much easier for parents to find the correct activities to go with each chapter.
The two Jenny books-Jenny’s Surprise, and A Baby in the House are also on sale for only $7.99 each.

Descriptive words are exciting and fun to use in so many ways. Help your children to see the potential by writing some simple sentences and then changing only the descriptive words. You will get some silly sentences that will make all of you laugh and you will encourage writing while you have fun.
We only have two more chapters in our book and then we go on to some fun December Christmas activities. But let’s get started with a Mini Christmas book to make for mom or dad or grandpa or grandma. Take blank paper and fold it in half or in 4 depending on the size of booklet you want to make. The title is My Favourite Things. Staple the booklet for your child. Then on each page have your child draw something or someone that they like. Add a sentence below each drawing using some of our descriptive words. Give as a gift or mail it to the person it is for. Your child will love the act of making a gift for someone special! Give lots of praise and encouragement!
Have a happy day!
