Hi Everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful Family Day weekend!
Today’s lesson is on how to use word webs to make writing fun. Word webs are a fun way to improve spelling, reading, writing and comprehension. You can choose the word that fits with your current teaching theme, use it to teach new phonics words, or use it to introduce a writing activity. You don’t have to worry about how neat your circles are. Children love to draw their own circles and then connect them to make a spider web. Here are two great word webs to start with for young children: both face and farm are great words to start with.
Here is a blank word web pdf-word web that you can use for any word. Try it with Family:
Word web-Family-create a word web for family. Use some of these words: father, mother, sister, brother, baby, grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncle, cousin. Complete the spider web. Add to the picture .
Have fun creating word webs and writing some sentences and stories with your words! Remember to make it age appropriate! Lots of encouragement and laughter help!
Have a happy day!
